CICV Podiatrists

Cherie’ and Christelle treat various lower limb and foot conditions.

They started CICV Podiatry in 2011 and want to make society aware of overall foot care and wellbeing. They are both members of the Health Professions council of South Africa and also the South African Podiatry Association.

Cherie’ and Christelle also help out with lecturing at The University of Johannesburg on a ad hoc basis.Scope of Practice

Some common conditions that we treat are:
Ingrown toe nails, both conservative and surgical procedures.
Corns and Calluses, Blisters, Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), Fungal foot and nail infections.
Warts, chemotherapy as well as cryotherapy (freezing).
Minor diabetic ulceration, in severe cases we refer to a wound care specialist.
Offloading via simple innersoles or orthotics for diabetic and rheumatoid arthritic patients.
Biomechanical examination and correction via inserts, orthotics or shoe modifications and pads.

Some common conditions that we see: Plantar Fasciitis, Sever’s disease, Pes planus, Pes cavus, In-toeing and Out-toeing gait, Peroneal tendonitis, Knee pain, Low back pain, Achilles tendonitis, Posterior tibial tendonitis, correction after knee or hip replacements, conservative bunion treatment via biomechanical correction or splinting, Off-loading for Morton’s neuroma.

We also give advice on appropriate footwear and foot care Diabetic foot screening Basically we treat everything and everything on your foot.

Christelle also does house calls in the Sandton and surrounding areas.

Christelle Ingratta (Slabber)

Christelle completed her BSc degree majoring in Physiology and Anatomy at The University of the Witwatersrand. She then went on to complete her BTech Pod (SA) at The University of Johannesburg.
She is also a qualified group training instructor and has been working as an Aquatics instructor on a freelance basis over 10 years.

Christelle has a passion for overall patient wellness and believe in the concept of team work.

Cherie’ Viljoen

Cherie’ completed her pedorthics course in Florida and went on to complete her BTech Pod (SA) at the University of Johannesburg.

She has a special interest in biomechanical gait assessments and manufacturing of foot orthotics. Specialised footwear advice and prescriptions, and or custom shoe manufacturing.
Other interests include diabetic foot care, ingrown nail and or painful lesion treatment.
